• Help! I don’t know where to start! Will we have help with planning our Event?
Absolutely! Riverwood Mansion provides the most extensive planning and coordination service of any location in Nashville and we provide a trained events consultant to give you expert advice. From the day you book the mansion, we begin working on your event. We will provide you with a custom plan for your day and the people to execute it! If you have your event here, we also provide you with a professional events director to help conduct your event.
• What about on our event day, will my staff have to do most of the work?
You and your staff should be able to enjoy your event…not worry about the details. On the day of your event, we have a minimum of 3-4 staff members dedicated to making your guests feel comfortable and providing you with a stress free…and work-free day! We start with the set up and continue throughout the event until the final clean-up.
• What if it rains? Or is cold?
No worries! We have a wonderful, beautifully decorated, 4200 square foot pavilion that will hold up to 300 people for an event. In addition, the pavilion is heated, so you won’t have to rent heaters at the last minute.
• Can we bring our own caterer?
We have one of Nashville’s finest caterers as an in-house caterer to save you time and money. In addition, we have a list of caterers that have been approved to work at Riverwood Mansion. We are happy for you to choose one of these caterers. This list will be provided after you book your event.
• Are we allowed to use the inside of the mansion?
Yes, unlike many mansions, we are delighted for you to use the entire 5000 square foot downstairs of the beautiful, historical mansion. Your guests are allowed to wander through the stunning gardens and enjoy the exquisite interior of the mansion. Most companies use both the inside and outside of the mansion.
• Is alcohol allowed?
Yes, you may bring your own alcohol to serve your guests twenty-one years of age or older. Guests may not bring their own alcohol or serve themselves. Due to strict laws concerning the serving of alcohol, you are not allowed to bring your own bartender. You must use the bartender provided by your caterer.
• Can we have cash bars?
Cash bars are not allowed unless you are a licensed 501 (c) 3 organization and a special permit
is obtained from the Alcoholic Beverage Commission by calling 741-1602.
• Can we have dancing?
Yes, in fact, a dance floor is provided in our outside pavilion.
• Are tables, chairs, and linens included in the price of the booking rental?
Yes, tables, chairs and linens are included in our all inclusive packages, but not in the “A La Carte”. However, unlike most unique facilities, Riverwood Mansion offers a complete rental supply option on site for the “A La Carte”. You never have to worry about whether your chairs will arrive on time…or if any tablecloths are missing…or who will put them on for you! Our pricing is very competitive and you will save time, money, and delivery charges. We will provide a list of our rental items to you when you come for a tour. (This list is not provided over the web or sent in the mail since we are constantly adding new things!) If you use our rentals, we will put everything out and make sure all your equipment is clean and ready to use when you arrive!
